"Flatman" is the mascot of Gelsen-Net, a german telecommunication firm. Consequently used in ads, the web, comics, animations, a wide merchandising range, posters, etc. Meanwhile there's even a cafe named after him in the Ruhrgebiet. See also "Animation" and "Comics".
